The completion of our Global Hub and Next Generation Building at Houston Levee is one of the most significant initiatives in the history of our church. With over 50,000 square feet of new and renovated space, this project positions our church for future growth within the city of Memphis and expansion of The Life Church around the world. This is an urgent need for our church to fulfill the mandate God has given us to multiply across the earth and to create the space we need to continue reaching more families and young people throughout the Mid-South.

This project serves every facet of our Vision—it helps us build our church, it serves our region and it enhances our ability to impact our world.

We see three key areas where this building will have a significant impact:

1. Allows us to continue reaching families and providing more excellent, age-specific ministry for babies through 12th grade.
   
   
   • We are nearly at capacity in our Kids Life classrooms at Houston Levee. We have had events where we have had to turn kids away because we reached capacity.
   
   
   • This new building gives us 50% more capacity on Sundays and provides a greater environment for the growth that we’ve experienced.
   
   
   • Our Axis ministry has grown significantly in the last couple of years, and the need to start a specific middle school ministry has grown. Currently, we don’t have the space to offer two excellent, separate environments on Wednesdays when you factor in services and tribes.
   
   
   • This project will give us the ability to have specific Middle School and High School auditoriums so that we can tailor our Axis ministry to specific age groups and enable us to continue to grow.
   
   
2. Enhances our ability to host large events that serve our region, including Axis Conference, Zoe Conference, Sound of Christmas, Revival Nights and more.
   
   
   • We host multiple events throughout the year that serve all of our Memphis locations, the greater Memphis community and the global body of Christ. This project greatly improves our ability to make these events even more impactful and effective in serving the Memphis region.
     
   
   
   • The new lobby space and extra kids space ensure adequate space for kids, breakouts, meals and more.
   
   
3. Establishes our Global Hub to centrally support the locations and ministry of The Life Church around the world.
   
   
   • In the last five years, we have added six new regions of The Life Church around the world.
   
   
   • This expansion has grown our church and our influence exponentially, and the need to support these locations has grown tremendously.
   
   
   • This expansion is three stories and includes over 40 additional office spaces, new conference rooms and meeting spaces, dedicated space to train and equip pastors, recording studios for content and more.
   
   
   • To fulfill the mandate on our church to impact our world, we desperately need a hub that can function as adequate central support and a model location for the future of our church.

Our goal is to break ground in Spring/Summer of 2026.

We always say vision moves at the speed of generosity, and because of the generosity of our church, we are prepared to take major next steps towards making this project a reality.

It will take continued faithful generosity to get this initiative across the finish line. Here are some important financial details:

• During the design process over the last year, we have had more accurate and up-to-date projections of the total cost. These costs have increased compared to the previous estimates made at the time of the project’s inception. The increase is not a result of design changes, but rather changes in the market, inflation and economic changes. Here is a direct quote from our contractor, Flintco Construction: “In the last two years alone, construction costs have increased at roughly twice the rate of what was typical before the pandemic. Materials such as steel, roofing, glass and metals used in the exterior of the building have all gone up significantly. The systems that make the building function—mechanical, electrical and plumbing have seen the largest price increases. These systems alone represent about 35% of the total construction cost. The project increase is driven purely by market conditions, not by scope, features or design changes.”


• The total project cost currently sits at approximately $18.7 million.


• As of November 2, 2025, we have $4.5 million in cash set aside for this project.
  


• Our self-imposed goal has been to move into this new building with potentially 50% of the total project cost raised in cash.
  


• That total would hopefully be $9.35 million.


• This means the approximate total gap remaining is $4.85 million.


• We could potentially be moving into this new space within the next 24 months—meaning our goal is to raise an additional $4.85 million within that timeframe.


• The goal to raise by the end of 2025 is $1.85 million. This will put us in a strong position to secure the loan needed to break ground within our target timeline.
